I agree. It's a nice controller and feels a little more precise than even the 1st party Dual Shock 2s. They don't seem to last long, though.BIZ wrote:But the one I like best is by far the MadCatz Microcon for PS2.
Its so damn small and everything feels real tight on it, and I really like the action on the jsticks.
The best PS2 wireless controller. (in my opinion)

Re: The best PS2 wireless controller. (in my opinion)
I could have sworn that I saw the Katana PS2 controller at my gamestop recently. I thought it was some sort of knockoff clone so I didn't buy it. I wished I had.
I was at a different gamestop and bought 3 logitech controllers for my PS2. 1 was used and it seems like it's the original logitech PS2 controller. It was $14.99. The other two were brand new second generation logitech controller. They were $12.99 each which I thought was a pretty good deal.
They also had other wireless crap such as MadCatz, Pelican, etc.
I'll try my new controllers out tonight.

Re: The best PS2 wireless controller. (in my opinion)
I have both the Logitech and the Katana.
I started out favoring the Katana, since its form factor is nearly identical to the DualShock. However, it slowly started falling out of my favor because the plastic just feels cheap and I notice a slight lag (although, this could just be my imagination).
The other thing that bugs me about the Katana is that the analog sticks are plastic not rubber, so some slippage is inevitable. But if this really bugs you, you can probably just swap the analog sticks with sticks taken from a real Dualshock.
Reasonable minds can differ on the issue of PS2 wireless controllers though. I'm not saying that the Katana is a horrible controller, I just prefer the Logitech.

Logitech has a good reputation for making quality controllers. I have 4-5 of them for the xbox.

I absolutely love those Controllers Logitech made for the original Xbox, seriously classy setup. Too bad I haven't seen one in forever thanks to how the 360 killed the OG Xbox within a year.gtmtnbiker wrote:Logitech has a good reputation for making quality controllers. Also, I believe that until the end of next week all Logitech wireless controllers are going to be $13 NEW. They're normally $20, so that's a pretty good deal for a new Controller of Logitech's quality.
