Yeah, it's a port of a three-year old PSP game...

But holy crap! A new PS2 release! From Sony, no less! That's f'en weird.

I like this trend; a lot of PSP games have been getting PS2 releases lately [Jak & Daxter 4, Motorstorm: AE, etc.]. It will be interesting to see just how long the PS2 will last in the mainstream marketplace.

I really wish Capcom would port Darkstalkers Chronicles and Street Fighter Alpha 3 MAX, Namco would port Tekken 6 and Soul Calibur: Broken Sword, and Arc System Works would port BlazBlue Portable.

The two Capcom games beg to be on a system with arcade sticks/fight pads (with SFA3Max, I can finally recreate the legendary scene from Fist of Fury). Same goes for the rest of the games, but there would also be that quirky coolness of playing BlazBlue, SoulCal4 and Tekken6 on a system that is less powerful than the systems they were designed for.

Well Darkstalkers Chronicle is based of the Dreamcast game, so if you have a DC you could always burn the game.

Yeah, I've already got it - but I'd rather be able to support Darkstalkers by voting with my wallet.

I didn't expect this either. I thought Sakura Wars was gonna be last PS2 title.

I still stubbornly have not updated to a PS3, 360, or Wii.

Keep on burnin' PS2! Woot! :D

I still strongly support the Playstation 2. I bought Motorstorm: Artic Edge and was very impressed with how well it looked and played. It's definitely one of my favorite racing games on PS2 now.

I've always wondered why Sony never ported the two Wipeout games from the PSP to the PS2 since they were so popular. After the success of the first three games on the PS1, it certainly would have been nice to see these games on the PS2 rather than just be stuck with the one shitty PS2 Wipeout game - Wipeout Fusion.

Supposedly, there's been some rumors about Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker maybe making its way to the PS2. But I dunno, man. Have to wait and see

The Megadrive is still unparalleled as it is still selling strong in key developing countries such as Brazil, but the PS2 might outlive the MD's legacy on the long run.
