I never played any Sly Cooper games but I always wanted to. I hope they make a new one on PS3 or 360.

Personally, I dislike platformers. That said, I'm sad to see them go if that's what's happening. They had always been such a powerful market share, it's tough to think that they might be gone soon from big budget releases. But then again, a lot of folks say the same thing about fighting games.
I will say I greatly enjoyed the LEGO games, though I've only played a couple. LEGO Batman was what I played through most of March, and despite a hand full of levels that pissed me off incessantly, I enjoyed the gameplay and had fun geeking out over all the characters. I would definitely recommend them.

Platformers seem to be vanishing only from the "grown up" consoles. They still have a sizable presence on the Wii and on the handhelds.

What's sad is that platformers were once the bread and butter of this industry. Sonic sold Genesis systems. Mario sold Super Nintendos and Nintendo 64s. Even Sony benefitted greatly from the Crash Bandicoot games. The original Super Mario Brothers saved the whole frikking game industry here in the States. At one point in time, it was platformers on home consoles, fighters and beat'em ups in the arcades. That's were all the money was. You look at the S-NES, there were tons of platformersAck wrote:Personally, I dislike platformers. That said, I'm sad to see them go if that's what's happening. Anyway, I really enjoyed playing Lego Batman too. They added a nice new twist to the formula by letting you play as villians who each had interesting abilities and the game seemed more polished than Lego Star Wars II. Most of the vehicle levels were a lot less annoying in Lego Batman than the ones in Leg Star Wars II. Lego Batman comes in behind Batman Arkham Asylum as the best "modern" Batman game
