I used to love this card game. But i spent so much money on it it drained all my funds. So i started playing the video games which are real good to, but the reason I posted this is to well brag. I found out today after i stray link off google that i have the second rarest yugioh card ever EP1-EN000 Card of Sanctity. I won it a few years back in a Kids WB contest. And i never knew it was rare. According to what ive heard this card sold for hundred even thousands of dollars on ebay, and its been sitting in a little book with my other cards. needless to say im in quite a good mood Also only 100 copys of this card where ever made. And i now know the rarest card was made by the grant a dream people. It was for some kid named tyler and he has the only copy ever.
Well actually im still debating selling it. I mean i need money. But its like my rare video games. I dont use them. I really have no reason for them, but now that i know there rare I find it hard to part with them. So I dont know I might keep it as a collectable
Its always difficult to know when to sell stuff to get the best price. When the new star wars films came out I thought that would rouse interest in the original toys, of which I have many. I went to ebay and found that everyone else had the same idea and the market was saturated with them. The figures where still fetching a few quid each but not enough to part with them yet...
For that kind of money though I would sell it, would you rather gaze at a card in the knowledge that its rare - or pocket a load of cash? I always thought that this was the idea of collecting anyway, to eventually sell something that is rare for pile of notes. Your call though
Just remember that cards dont keep value as well as videogames. Pokemon cards used to be all the rage, and now you cant give them away. Just something to think about.
