What do you read on "the throne"?
Re: What do you read on "the throne"?
When I'm on my throne I read whatever book I happen to be reading at the time. When I'm on my toilet, I read Computer Power User and occasionally Maximum PC.

Re: What do you read on "the throne"?
I use to read a random volume of the encyclopedia. But right now I have a book on how to learn Masonry from the 50s and a book about Medieval Machinery. Luke brings up an interesting point - I could keep a Gameboy at work for the head...I never thought about that.
And since someone else started it, my favorite statement about it is still:
"Taking the Browns to the Superbowl. They are playing the Oilers you know." Though "Off to write a Nickelback song" is a good one too.

Whatever books I'm reading at the moment. Currently that's Heretics of Dune. So it's not out of place if I'm constipated and shout THE SPICE MUST FLOW!

Nah, but it probably wasn't a good idea to cover my body in Sandtrout.

Why read on the throne when I can play puzzle games or pokemon on my ds?
Re: What do you read on "the throne"?
See, that works too. I was hooked on bejeweled on my handspring for a while, then back to solitaire on my blackberry years later.MrHealthy wrote:Why read on the throne when I can play puzzle games or pokemon on my ds?

Right now? The Demoniacs, by John Dickson Carr. Previously it was Dashiell Hammett's The Glass Key. Hammett's most well-known book is The Maltese Falcon, and The Glass Key does an admirable job of living up to it, though I found a few minor things I didn't care for as much. Either way, still awesome.

Got this a couple of weeks ago, there's a lot in it. I have a few Retro Gamer issues, the system articles are always the best. This covers just about every system in one neat volume. Pretty cheap too, under 10 euro.
