On the main menu screen go to the Mystery Gift option (or whatever it's called). Select Nintendo WiFi as your receive message. It'll download. You then go to the nearest Pokemart and talk to the guy by the counter, and he gives you the course. Then the next time you go to sync your Pokewalker with the game you can select the Yellow Forest.IcKy99 wrote:i heard about this mystery gift, but im not exactly sure how it works... fill me in?molotovwars wrote:Just bumping this up to make sure everyone is aware of the Wifi Event going on. You can download Yellow Road via Mystery Gift then you'll be able to catch some special Pikachu through the Pokewalker. You can get Pikachu with Surf, Fly, and Volt Tackle.

^I hope I still can do it. My friends can get me one but I prefer to take one myself.

The Fly and Surf Pikachus require 10k steps on the Pokewalker (5k if you send a Ground, Grass, or Electric Pokemon to the walker) and are a 3% chance. I managed to nab surf, but not fly.IcKy99 wrote:i got the yellow forest and caught 2 pikachu's none of wich were very special :/ oh well now i gotta raise these suckers to at least level 40 and evolve one into raichu before i take down claire

Re: Pokemon Heart Gold / Soul Silver
Just defeated Red yesterday was very satisfied with the game overall. It really brought back memories of my friends and I playing gold/silver/crystal back in the day. Haven't played a Pokemon game since Firered/Leafgreen. Some of the pokemon I encountered later in the game I had no idea who they were because I have never played Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald and Diamond/Pearl/Platinum so that was pretty cool. I just bought Platinum today so it will be cool to learn about these new Pokemon while going through a whole new adventure. I plan on getting Emerald once I finish Platinum. I guess since playing through Heart Gold, the Pokemon bug has bit me and I have a sudden urge to play the games I missed in the series. Yo know what they say Gotta Catch em' All

So how many steps have you walked on your Pokewalker? I've got a whopping 460k since launch day.

I'm working on seeing what will happen if you reach 10000w on the Pokewalker itself. Currently almost to 8000. I really hope it just doesn't show the fifth digit instead of cycling back over to zero. That would be unfortunate
