Worst or most disappointing gaming experience ever?

I ignored all the hype and expected a turd, but was surprised to find an above average game. You gotta go into a game with a bad attitude.

Faffel wrote:Ah, yes, Okami. Not a dissapointment, really, but it also is in a way. Great game. Perfect art, great control, good story, great setting, great gameplay. So what was bad? It was pathetically easy. It was nearly impossible to die or fail at a task and I actually got so bored I stopped playing because it was too easy. A real shame, because it was flawless otherwise.
Wow and I thought I was the only one who thinks that this game was so easy that it bore you. And it was repetitive. Doing the same thing helping people or animals so that they believe in gods again.

Weird :?

At least you can use it as a high quality webcam!

Tenchu DS was a huge disappointment for me, and everyone else who bought it for that matter I think. What were they thinking?!

Mortal Kombat: Special Forces, that was the most biggest mistake ever. That game is not even worth a rental

I would say the following:

Daytona CE edition on the Saturn. Yes it had better graphics but man the handling was all "off".
Halo2. Was just a let down.
My 360 dying twice. And now having problems reading the Halo3 disk.

I don't think mine counts, but my worst in recent memory was getting halfway through CoD3 on Veteran difficulty, just to have my profile get corrupted and lose it all. I haven't since been back.

I feel like everyone who complains about Okami's difficulty really missed the point. That's not what the game was about. It was about exploring, collecting things, finding fun ways to use your powers, finding the most fun, creative and efficient ways to kill your enemies in combat, taking in the beautiful artwork and enjoying the story. Okami was meant to be a feel good game with more of an emphasis on being fun and atmospheric than challenging.

Why is it that so many gamers can't enjoy a game unless it is difficult? I pull out something like Devil May Cry 3 when I want a challenge, but that's not what I was looking for in Okami.

Oddly enough, Zelda Twilight Princess was a walk in the park too, but I see a lot of people siting it as better than Okami because it was challenging. Challenging? Twilight Princess had some of the easiest, shortest boss fights in history. At least one or two of the bosses in Okami put up a bit of a fight and there were some nice optional fights too. Though I'm guessing that people who thought it was too easy didn't bother with doing the optional stuff or even getting at all creative with the combat.

There's a difference between easy and boring. Okami just wasn't that interesting due to it being so easy. I love challenging games. Ninja Gaiden Black hooked me, still play it.

I found Okami easy too but didnt find it boring. But the game seemed too long IMO. Seemed liked they crammed in 3 stories into it.
