Best: New Xbox 360
Cheapest: Cook it
Easiest: Get a PS3

Haha sorry, but you should probably just buy a new one that won't red ring. Honestly, that's the only true solution.

This will show you what model you have.

Here's how I fixed my 360:

I say fixed, it's just as likely to RRoD unless the BGA is reflowed with high quality solder however this method is far cheaper.

You can put the serial number into the xbox.com support website. Not sure where it is (our site is completely different to yours) but if you go to support there's a box to put your serial number in.

The other way is to check the wattage on the power supply and whether the 360 has a HDMI port or not.

if it's 203W with no HDMI it's a Xenon. If it's 203W with HDMI it's a Zephyr. If it's 175W with no HDMI it's an Opus. If it's 175W with HDMI it's a Falcon and finally, if it's 150W with HDMI it's a Jasper.

Xenon = 90nm CPU + 90nm GPU
Zephyr = same as above
Falcon = 65nm CPU + 90nm GPU
Opus = same as above
Jasper = 65nm CPU + 65nm GPU

Hope that helps.

There's a handy image that uses the power plug and presence of HDMI to determine the version in the link I had provided above.
