'Rehab' is my latest addiction.... get it, rehab... addiction? But seriously they are fantastic. Anything off 'Graffitii the World' is great. Also 'Robert Randolph and the family band'
Does it hurt? Its not my fault

Some heavy tracks, a few cinematic sounding moments, and some songs that sound really emotional and beautiful. Just had to express my enthusiasm for this album. Really awesome
So did they get a new singer? I haven't checked the site since Once, and it said the woman left. I'm looking forward to a different style. Hoping the opera sound changes a little.

Lately I've been testing the waters of Strapping Young Lad. Mostly good stuff. This is the closest to death metal I've ever enjoyed.
Oh and the Dethklok album is out. It's so awesome. Best fake band of all time.

Edit: After listening to the new singer, she's not bad. She doesn't sound much different from other female singers, but at least I can understand her lyrics a hell of a lot easier. I'm of the understanding that the last singer didn't actually speak English worth a shit, but would just practice the sound to learn how to sing it.
I think the old singer knew English. A lot of foreign bands from other countries seem to know english quite well, which seems ironic since a lot of Americans don't bother learning foreign languages.

The whole story with the old singer was that the lead song writer from the band had some issues with her and fired her through a public letter for all the world to read, which was quite immature and disrespectful to a woman who has helped the band's success over the years in my opinion. It's fine if he had issues with her and wanted a new vocalist, but trying to publicly humiliate her was very petty and spiteful I thought. And if that's not enough he's got two songs on the new album that are about her.

Still, he writes good music so I was still curious about the new album and I really, really like it.

I think it's true that the new singer doesn't have a distinctive voice like the old one did, but she can sing well so it's all good. The band still sounds like Nightwish, just that they've lost that operatic quality the old singer brought. I'll miss Tarja(the old singer), but the band still rocks on this album and I believe Tarja has an album of her own coming out soon. I have to say she's been much more mature about the band breakup than they were. No scathing public letters or internet bashing from her

If you like Nightwish, you may be interested in a great album called Vinland Saga by Leaves' Eyes. Just felt like throwing that out there

I am currentily listening to At War With Satan by Venom.

The album is not that great, but the titled track is the only thing worth listening to

Well I tried but I just can't enjoy this new Nightwish album. Its not the singer's fault. The composition just sucks.

Metal does seem to always be the popular choice of geeks, doesn't it?

But anyone who I expose to my music selection would realize I have just about everything besides country.
