Back to the PSP, make sure you are actually turning it off all the way. On my PSP fat, one push of the switch puts it to sleep, but doesn't turn it off. You have to hold the switch up for a few seconds to completely turn it off. If you only put it to sleep, it will burn through the battery in a couple of days, however a fully charged battery in a completely turned off PSP will last months to total discharge. And as mentioned above, your battery may be going bad, but then my fat is still on it's original battery and battery life remains very good on each charge.
