Second the Computer 8/16 bit section.

Maybe even include Retro Amiga, iMAC G3/G4 and DOS/WIN98 PCs?
I guess a cutoff point somewhere say a 999 mghz speed limit?
I guess a 1 mghz C64 would make that category.

We already have enough sub-forums, we want to streamline the forum, not bloat it up with unnecessary forums that include largely the same amount of info.

Then why was "Gaming in the Home Theater" and "Podcast" recently added. "Gaming in the Theater" could easily be put with "gamerooms" and "podcast" can be a sticky in "Old School Gaming News". Both are not going to be used very much. Like I have said 10,000 times make a seperate "general video game" and "whatever" forum, that would get rid of tons of clutter and streamline the site. Or "Old school gaming" can be gotten rid of and put in 'General Video Gaming". "Archiving, Downloads, Reviews and Videos", would make a good one sub-forum.

Just curious what steps have been taken, Niode, in streamlining the site? Only thing I have seen that has changed since I have been here is add two more sub-forums. That clears clutter and streamlines How exactly? Not attacking you personally but you opened up this line of disscussion.

If you added all those seperate pc forums, no one would use them. I never see anyone actually talk about pc's on this site, unless it's technical help, advice, or snes emulation.

Well, just one, for Retro computers. But then again not many owners compared to PS1 or NES. Maybe reason why lumped with all the other less common game consoles.

An exclusive forum for any kind of computers would be cool and will incite more discussion. At least I will spam it until everyone of you console noobs start playing with a real mouse!

Yes. This is what I think also, a dedicated computer section, retro or just in general, will generate more discussion and interest. And I do not know a lot and want to learn from you guys.

I'm not responsible for creating new forums. That's a privilege of Admins, not Moderators.

Retro computers may be a consideration for a new forum when we eventually get around to sorting the forum categories out (my reply wasn't regarding CRT's retro computing post, but about the splitting of the Sony and Microsoft forum). However we won't be splitting Sony and Microsoft since there is no point. The amount of cross-over they have makes a separate forum completely pointless, plus it means that we'll have a tonne of duplicate threads. It just doesn't make any sense.
