Softmod Japanise Crystal oXbox -- UPDATE -- Fixed

Post by h8b1llg8ts »

UPDATE

My friend still hasn't given me the PC cord for the Action Replay so I took my US version and softmodded it with no problems. I chose X Unleashed and have loaded NES, SNES, and Genesis emulators with no problems. I have the .37 version but can't update to the .39 so tonight I'm going to try switch to the Evolution X to see if that one is better.

The reason is I can't get either XMBC to load or the N64 or MAME emulators either.

ORIGINAL
My friend gave me the tools to softmod my Japanise Crystal Xbox but for some reason it is not taking. I get through all the steps to load either Evolution X or X Unleased dashboards but when I turn off my Xbox and get back into it all it shows is the same Linix Bios. It asks me to either turn off or on softmod and when I say turn it on it says:

Failure
Batch Error:.
Auto On

My thinking is that there might be a different tool set for the Japanise model but any help would be great.

Thanx ...

I have done the softmod on unmodded Asian xboxes(NTSC-J), all works fine following this tutorial, so region is not a problem. You might want to try to redo the softmod from scratch? Also it feels like the linux is interfering with the completion of the softmod judging from the message.
