Yeah I'm not really having any fun with it. It doesn't do anything blatantly wrong compared to TFC. I'm just too bored with the TFC gameplay. I really think TF2 will cure this.fastbilly1 wrote:2 hours of FF down and I think it did alot of things right but it has some things that bug me - Grenade timers make it way to easy, but atleast we still get grenades. I hope to give it a real trial, playing with my friends who still play TFC on a weekly basis, tonight. So more from me soon.

Oh no, you're crazy. Just like they said, now that the grenades are removed, the game is instantly more fun. Each class serves a great role. This may turn out to be the best online FPS ever made.fastbilly1 wrote:I guess we are just like the rest of the internet, it seems very polarized on who likes FF and TF2. Personally no concs, a timer, and playing dustbowl is just sad, makes me not very partial to TF2. Though I havent put in the 20 hours per to make a fully justified decision.

Life timer takes me out of the loop if nothing else does. I cannot even begin to give a coherent response to having to wait 20 seconds in a fortress game. This is kinda like Quake I fortress before the first patch.
However the crown for best online FPS is, and will always be held by, Planetside. Its MMO tribes without jetpacks, and while the jetpacks were awesome, having a strike force of 200 people attacking a defended base of roughly the same amount of people is just awesome.

Dude, its an improvement. Respawning instantly only led to more stalemate matches. It also led to the player not giving a damn if he died, which led to pointless suicide runs. Just yesterday, I was a medic chain healing a heavy and we slaughtered 2/3rds of a team in 12 seconds or so, and that completely turned the tide of the battle. In regular TFC, those enemies would have been right back to take us out.fastbilly1 wrote:Life timer takes me out of the loop if nothing else does. Seriously, I am in total agreement with just about every change Valve has made here.
