No offense meant, I just get bothered when I hear kids using words like that... I probably shouldn't have come off as such a dick in my post.
And as far as the gray hair goes, I got lucky and skipped straight to the receding hair line! Hurray for genetics!

You sound like my brother with the hair genetics. The poor guy. Just about hitting 40 and already has a shiny moon up there But still full color. Ah gotta love the world of genes.
I watched a friend play this game to death when it first came out. I have vivid memories of sitting in his room watching him bread chocobo after chocobo until I'd get bored and fire up some command and conquer.
When FF 8 was released, I bought a playstation and FF 8 on the same day just so I could play it. Loved it, but never got past the first disc.
Eventually I went back and got FF 7 and did the same thing. I'm finally now making an effort to finish it. I'm still on the first disc and it's slow going, but I'm enjoying myself.
I bought it the day it came out, and I played the heck out of it and beat it shortly after. I've beat it once more since, and I almost beat it one other time but stopped on the third disc.
I loved certain things about the game, and I really didn't like some other things about it. There was more to do in the game than any other RPG I had played up until that point. The scale of the game pretty much blew me away. That being said, I really disliked both the main character and villain in the game. Hell, I thought most of the characters in the game were completely worthless. But the gameplay definitely towered over the story in my opinion. The gameplay was good enough to make it a great game.
