My name is Jonathan and I live in NYC. I go by JerkFace Killah on the interweb. My favorite system is currently the Saturn but my all time favorite is probably the PS1 because it was the first system I bought with my own money.

I tried to upload a profile pic but there seems to be a limit which is very small. How does everyone do it? Same with uploading pictures in threads.

Either have to knock down the colors of you avatar picture to get it under size, or host it somewhere else and point to it. You can shrink the picture down with MSPaint, Irfanview, or if you're stuck or it keeps coming out grainy, I can shrink it and try to keep it looking good. For threads in pictures, there's a limit, but not sure what it is. Most of us host the pictures elsewhere for threads too.

Hey all !

I'm Brandon ,

I love most all types of games , but grew up on NES , SNES era and still prefer those although really , every generation , and every platform has soo much to offer , its almost staggering :) They all are awesome imo.

I am a 27 yr old family man , 3 kids + awesome wife , like to play games , make music ( synth, guitar mostly ) and disc golf ... and making boomerangs too. Too many hobbies really. Don't have a huge collection of games , but some decent consoles - Currently its Atari 2600 , NES , Super NES x2 , Genesis x2 (model 1 complete in box - and model 2) Modded Playstation 1 ( courtesy of Snowkitty here on the forums - its awesome ) Dreamcast x2, PS2 x2 (Slim & Fat) Xbox 360 and Wii. Oh and a modded saturn is on its way soon. Cant wait to play Radiant Silvergun ! Shmups rule.

Thanks for making this place awesome.

Salut,

I'm Yoann from France, 35 yo. I like old pixels and particularly those you find in shmups :)
My first system was an Amstrad CPC464 with an external floppy disk (both still working fine) and after that a Super Nintendo, for which I bought few years later a Pro Figther X Turbo 2 (I still use both). Now, I have almost everything I leered at when I was young, but I can't stop looking for retro hardware and games :)

Hey what's up, I'm Reprise. I've been a fan of Racketboy's articles for a long time now, and been lurking the forum for a while. I'm 21 and currently in my final year of university (in fact it's very nearly over eep). been studying in Wales for 3 years now (that's in the UK for those who don't know), but soon I'll be going back to England where I'm origanally from.

Anyways I'm a huge fan of art and music. Play guitar and piano to an averge level, but don't get much chance to play much anymore unfortunately. I love Metal and rock, but I'm pretty open minded when it comes to music and will like almost anything if I feel it's good. Some of my favourite bands/artists are Deftones, Opeth, Limp Bizkit, Machine Head, Radiohead, Thrice, Massive Attack, Nine Inch Nails, PJ Harvey, Black Light Burns, Portishead, Thrice etc. But anyways I could go on forever listing my favourite bands and that would ust bore you most likely :P

As for games, I've been a huge Sega fanboy for as long as I can remember. The Sega Magadrive was my first ever console and I absolutely loved it. I own a Sega Megadrive, Sega Saturn, Sega Dreamcast, PsOne, and N64. Used to own a lot of other consoles and handhelds too, but sold them. I own a ton of games for each console (well tbf some more than others), including some rare ones that I treasue. The Dreamcast has to be my favourite console ever. I own about 50 to 60 games for it (all genuine and boxed with instructions) and still play it regularly to this day.

At the moment I'm trying to collect a few Saturn games, although it's going to be a while before I can really buy much as everything for the Saturn goes for ridiculous prices on Ebay (don't even get me started on Ebay!... lol). Back in the day in the UK we had a shop called Gamestation that would stock retro games at reasonable prices. Since that shop got taken over by a giant games corporation in the UK however, it no longer sells retro games :(

Anyways, this has got to be the longest introduction ever sorry... See you guys around the forum.
