Modern day remake of The Oregon Trail [Flash Game]

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Modern day remake of The Oregon Trail [Flash Game]

Post by racketboy »

From digg:
"A semi-faithful adaptation of the original 1971 Oregon Trail, Thule Trail has you heading west, not to conquer the wild frontier, but rather the road. The game swaps covered wagons for turbo wagons and lets you hunt fast food instead of wild game. Really takes you back!"

Anybody else remember playing the original?

Yeah, but you can beat the game in an hour or two, if I remember right. I used to beat it between a few indoor recess breaks in grade-school.

I thought it was incredibly hard... Maybe that was something I read about a modern game about trying to make a living in Africa and keeping your family healthy (where basically you always lost, which was the moral of the story or something)

Never tried Trail myself, though.

The game has adjustable simulation speeds. You can make them travel in warp speed across the plains.
