360 May Get Next Castlevania

Sony has really done themselves in. With all the shmups coming to XBLA, and SquareEnix not shying away from 360 development, I do believe the 360 may someday become popular in Japan, despite it being of gaijin design. All the PS3 has going for it right now is that it's a (relatively) cheap BluRay player. It's been almost a year - where are the "must-have" PS3 exclusives?

And it's looking more and more like Blu-Ray may not win the next format war. A month ago it looked certain, now not so much.

Do you think Iga was talking about a full-on 3D game on a disc, or something more like SOTN for download?

I was really amazed that Square Enix unvieled, what, three new IPs for the 360 at TGS today? It seems they can do more than re-hash FF, and it looks like 360 is going to at least get some of those goodies.

Rock on shmups! XBLA is the perfect place for this under-appreciated genre. Great to see those modern classics headed there. Now I hope other devs make some originals for it in the future.

Great news for X360 owners! But then again, the last few 3d castlevania games have been far from excellent. Still, there is always hope for the future of this great franchise.
