Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

In the US these are the big buzzwords now in regards to the health care reform bills. At any rate, I understand the feeling when things become hot topics but the debate has always been there and the research has always gone on. It could be that it's getting more attention than usual. I grew up in a very diverse population and now that I'm currently living in a town that is 90+ % white, I really miss simple cultural diversity. It also bothers me how the narrow minded people that live here have no interest in broadening their diversity or going anywhere but the nearest fishing hole or hunting spot. They are born here, go to school here, work here, live here, die here. To each his own, and I do not look down upon these people I just don't embrace the same lifestyle. I need to be around more varying peoples and ideas to be happy so it's a good thing I'm moving in a couple months.

Well said, I'm as multicultural as it gets. But in europe populist politics are taking advantage of the current xenophobia craze and all its variants to rake in more votes come election day. People are mistaken if they think culture is a constant element, but one shouldn't push their buttons either. But let's not divert this thread too much.

Anyone seen that Red Dwarf episode where a ship emerges from a parallel universe where estrogen is the dominant hormone?

It's simple you like games or not but no one will like being pandered too.

That's too bad that the conference was cancelled. We need more games with a woman's touch. The industry needs another female leader like Roberta Williams.

This is a great article about some of the earliest days in computer gaming and the role that Roberta played in it from the beginning up through her famous King's Quest series
