I hear everbody's comments and I understand but I just picked up a psone with the screen so the 2d games I'm going to get I just wanted some ideas on some 3d games that would look good on the big screen with the ps2 hooked up and when I go out somewhere with the family I can bring some titles with me that I can enjoy on the psone thats all.

for best results, I would use ePSXe 1.70 and use a PS2->USB adapter and hook up your computer to your HDTV. ePSXe does an excellent job of smoothing out PSX textures, etc. With the right settings, ePSXe approaches Dreamcast graphics.

I'm cool with it, I love the shit out of my 32X and Super FX games (I have every US released Super FX game).

there are sooo many good PS1 games that still hold up today even tho they may have dated graphics

it really depends on the kind of games you like, but easy picks are Final Fantasy 7 (and 8 and 9), Kula World, Breath of Fire 4 (looks amazing), Castlevania SOTN, Metal Gear Solid etc etc

he said no RPGs.

I agree, RPGs FTMFL.

back at the OP:

One obscure but fun Jet racing game is N-Gen racing. It has some of the best looking graphics on the system and is pretty fun/unique. Jet Moto (hover jet ski basically) is also fun. One GREAT game that bewilders me why it isn't more popular is Blast Chamber, it's sort of like Portal where you can run up walls, it's amazing. ESPN Xtreme Games is fun as hell, though pretty dated, but there's nothing else like it. Apocalypse is another obscure yet fun game that plays like Smash TV/Total Carnage/Super C overhead stages. Tony Hawk 1 and 2 are the best Tony Hawk games, though Dreamcast is the way to get them if you have the capability. I also like In the Hunt on PSX due to the Arrange soundtrack option (1st level arrange music rocks my world), though if you use MAME you can play the original arcade version that way.

If you give me a more specific list of Genres, I can throw down a few more titles as I've combed the PSX pretty heavily the past year or two.

Did you get a chance to breeze through "Topics" and "Guides" at the blue bar on top? Racketboy has numerous ideals and reviews of games and consoles there.
