When I am feeling down I watch Harvey, Mary Poppins, Asterix and Cleopatra, or the first few episodes of Ducktales (it was a movie once).
When highschool friends are around - Boondock Saints
When college friends are around - Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter, Prince of Space, or Space Mutiny
When I am with old work friends - Clerks
When my all of my brothers are around - One of the random films from our childhood which includes the likes of: Deathwish 3, The Omega Connection, Koyaanisqatsi, and the animated Hobbit film.
Several films, Indy, Star Wars, Jurassic Park, The Sting, Office Space, Marx Brothers, Lord of the Rings, Three Stooges, are any time films that are sometimes just put in rotation and left running all the time.

Seriously, I love watching this movie with friends. It's easily the greatest thing to ever come out of Canada.

I've vaguely heard about Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter. Can I please ask what it's about without spoilers?fastbilly1 wrote:When I am feeling down I watch Harvey, Mary Poppins, Asterix and Cleopatra, or the first few episodes of Ducktales (it was a movie once).

Christ is brought in to stop Vampires from killing off Lesbians. He is aided by Mary Magnum and his good friend, the Lucha libre wrestler Santos.

I can't seem to find any occasion to watch a movie. If I expect to be awake for the next 90 minutes, I'd rather be doing something interactive. Internet, video games, etc. I've been meaning to sit down and watch Blazing Saddles with my GF (who despite being a big Mel Brooks fan has somehow avoided seeing it so far), but it just never happens. By the time I'm ready for passive entertainment, I'm also ready to pass out on the couch.

You legend you. I pretty much save all comedies for when I'm high otherwise it feels like a wasteAppleQueso wrote:I tend to watch Evil Dead 2 as a Christmas movie for a reason even I'm not sure of.

My gf and I like to watch old 80's movies and tv shows. A lot of good stuff came out then.
Goonies, Lost Boys, National Lampoons anything, Weird Science, Breakfast Club. The list could go on and on.

The only problem I have with this is that I'm willing to watch Space Mutiny regardless of who is around.fastbilly1 wrote:When college friends are around - Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter, Prince of Space, or Space Mutiny

When I get burned out from the dating scene and need a good laugh, I'll watch High Fidelity or Swingers

I don't "save" this movie per se, but it's the greatest thing that anyone will watch, ever.
Therefore:
-if you have a good day, you should watch it to celebrate.
-if you have a bad day, you should watch it to feel better.
Nobuhiko Obayashi's "Hausu."
