comeback kid - wake the dead
rise against - the sufferer and the witness
ignite - our darkest days
bone thugs n harmony - strength and loyalty
life in your way - ignite and rebuild
misery signals - mirrors
shai hulud - that within blood ill-tempered
some other stuff. some of you guys are into some really good old thrash and black metal.
on another board i frequent we do weekly playlists (it's more music-oriented but still). would anybody here be up for doing that?

The Secret Meeting(a.k.a Collide+Dean Garcia from Curve)-Ultrashiver
I love this album. As a fan of Curve and Collide, this album delivers just the sound I was looking for.
Epica-The Divine Conspiracy
Three songs I love on here, the rest I'm not sure about yet. Epica has always been a hit and miss band for me
Dark Tranquillity-Fiction
One word. AWESOME. This band has been very consistent for a few years now.
Kamelot-Ghost Opera(Great album, but seems to be missing some of the magic from their previous works)
I'm eagerly awaiting the newest albums from Iced Earth and Nightwish. Not entirely sure how good they'll be though given that both bands have gone through a great deal of change recently, having lost their longtime vocalists. Tim Owens doesn't sound quite as awesome as Barlowe, and from what I've heard of Anette Olzon from samples of Nightwish's new album, she's no Tarja

I guess I have eclectic tastes because the two albums posted that I could most relate to were Dio and Raekwon!
Lately I have been listening to old DJ Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito radio shows. They were on late nights in NY and were usually very silly. There are crazy episodes where people like Nas and Mobb Deep just show up and freestyle before they were quite so famous. I've been beating the same few tapes into the ground for years but recently Stretch started a blog where he's been posting mp3s of old shows amongst other rap tidbits: http://konstantkontakt.blogspot.com/ If you can appreciate hip-hop from the early to mid 90s you have to check it out.
