Looking For A Certain Game

Post by lisalover1 »

My friend is trying to remember an old PS1 game, and even I'm stumped on this one. He says it has the following criteria:

-It was a tournament action game.
-It did not feature guns; it was a melee game.
-It was similar to Power Stone.
-There were no vehicles.
-It was a 3D game.
-It had a 3D model style similar to Final Fantasy 9.
-After battles, you earned money, which you could use to buy power-ups.
-It was a game released in America, so it was not Rakugaki Showtime.
-It was not Team Buddies.
-It was not Armored Core.

That's all he remembers. If you know of a game like this, let me know.

There was that arcade fighting game where you could play as the cloud guy from final fantasy. Don't remember what it was called though.

That was Ehrgeiz.

Jrece was probably talking about Ehrgeiz. As for lisalover's game, I don't think Ehrgiez applies since I don't remember any power ups to be bought (except in the quest mode? I haven't tried the quest mode)

edit: hobie beat me to it :)

Two other things to add:
-It was a 4-player game. There was never more or less than 4 players in a fight.
-The ONLY weapons in the game were gloves.

One more thing; I'll keep adding as he remembers:
-It had a name that was difficult to pronounce; he says it might have been Japanese, but he's not sure.

I think you may be talking about Poy Poy or Poy Poy 2.

Is this it?:

There seems to be gloves involved in it.
