Anyone play Rose Camellia?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Anyone play Rose Camellia?

Post by Ivo »

It is a funny flash game:

http://nigoro.jp/game/rosecamellia/rosecamellia.php

It involves slapping the opponent while dodging the incoming slaps, entirely mouse controlled and has some gesture recognition in the style of Black & White games (at least I think it is similar, maybe you disagree).

I could never beat that big Turtle lady thing at the end. But I had a blast getting there.

I think the default is the easiest difficulty. The other difficulties give each opponent more energy and possibly also give you less time to attack for each evade, and might also reduce the hitboxes of the enemies. So try the easiest first, for sure.

You might want to try NOT countering when she attacks - if you miss the counter, you get automatically hit (this is true for all opponents, but you can get past those).

Playing conservatively will help you (and if you are already low on health, taking high risks doesn't pay) - if the timer is close to the time when the enemy strikes, be ready to click on the Evade button instead of trying to sneak another slap in before that; unless you are pretty sure you can nail the Counter, just skip it and only do regular attacks.

I have an impression that the hitbox of some enemies might be different on the Counters (particularly the Matriarch, before the final boss) - I usually have slight difficulty hitting the Matriarch on regular slaps (she keeps dodging leaving that blue shadow effect), but pretty much always hit her on the counters.

You should be able to make it with a bit of strategy :)

Only as a homebrew, if I recall. Not as an official title.
