Shock troopers on the collection was particularly annoying. It freezes momentarily while you're treading through the levels.

But did I buy it anyway? Absolutely. For both my PS2 and my PSP? Hell yeah.

$5 is a good price for it.

They did the SNK collection volume 1 on the PSP too; again, not forthcoming for volume 2 by the looks of it.

On the PSP, the game pauses for a fraction of a second every so often in Metal Slug, which of course doesn't happen normally. (BTW I think Metal Slug 6 was the best one anyway, available on the PSP with all the Metal Slug games).

For $5 it is certainly worth getting - you only need to have one game on there you like and it pays for itself.

What the hell was up with that game where you randomly teleport from the ground to "heaven" or something. The levels just go on and on and on. I thought that game was hilariously bad. . . but not hilarious enough to keep playing.

Looks like I'll need to import KOF:2002 Ultimate Match, KOF:NESTS, KOF'94 Rebout, KOF NeoWave, KOF:MI Regulation A, and all the other games they'll never bring over. Really need to invest in a PS2 Slim and a flip-top cover.
while we're on the subject, have you picked up KOF '98 Ultimate Match? holy shitballs I love that game. You know why? FINALLY I don't have to use a 3 person team to play through a KOF game. Also, the backgrounds look awesome in their re-done 3D.

Does that work with slims? and does it install onto the PS2 or is it strictly on the memory card? Soft modded systems make me nervous, I always feel like I'll brick them and won't be able to recover them.

Yeah, Sengoku suckssss. It's kinda funny how the Neo Geo has some of the best and some of the worst 2D games out there. Like Burning Fight, WTF? that game wasn't as good as Final Fight or Streets of Rage in spite of being on much more powerful hardware.

While we're on the topic though, (back at the OP) have you tried Baseball Stars 2? It's the NBA JAM of Baseball basically and definitely worth checking out.

I picked up KOF'98 UM, but haven't played it just yet. Kinda swimming in games currently, thanks to the awesome deals I've been finding.

That's the thing though - I've already got the best KOF not this side of the Pacific.

And I didn't even like the original - this version has me very impressed.

Yeah... I kinda need to cut back on buying so many games. This week alone (since Monday), I've gotten:

Suikoden V
Metal Slug 7
Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus
Yakuza
Trauma Center: Second Opinion
Cotton 2
Onimusha: Blade Warriors
Pokemon Platinum

And that's just what I can remember off the top of my head. Plus, I plan to go to an awesome flea market tomorrow, so I might end up unloading cash there as well. (Granted, all but Pokemon Platinum and Cotton 2 were paid for with GameStop Store Credit, so it's not like I was spending real money.)
