I heard something about ToeJam and Earl, and Vyse from Skies of Arcadia being playing on DLC. I can't remember where I heard it though. Would be great to play as Vyse, but that's just because I love Skies of Arcadia. Didn't even get through Disc 1 before my DC crapped out. -_-jfe2 wrote:Does anyone know anything about any potential DLC? I remember reading that it would be made available, but I'm not sure how it will manifest in game.

Re: Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing
So yesterday and today I finally got around to playing both this and Mario Kart Wii. In my opinion, the Sega kart racer is far superior in almost every way.
Mario Kart Wii is almost exactly like every previous iteration, right down to the same tracks and characters. Yes, it adds a few small things, but if you have played previous versions you've played MK Wii. I know Nintendo isn't big on IP innovation, but something needs to be done with this franchise. Add to the fact that you can't steer with the D-Pad, and I found the game to be maybe the third or fourth best in the series.
The Sega Kart Racer, on the other hand, is an absolute blast. Not only is there a ton of fan service for Sega fans (circa-Dreamcast era), but the tracks themselves have genuine personality and appeal. I saw the comparisons above to F-Zero, but more of the tracks reminded me of Wipeout HD-style design. I played the 360 version, and would go so far as to say this is one of the nicest looking games I've played for that console. Everything is bright and pops out of the screen, the character models are detailed and scaled just right, and the sense of speed on some tracks is much greater than what you can get from MK. The control and responsiveness feels great, and the characters are much better balanced than with MK. All in all if you are trying to decide between the two, go with this one.

Too bad I wasn't impressed by the DS version.

Just curious... How does this game compare to Modnation Racers? Thinking about getting one of the other... Possibly even both!

I was extremely dissapointed with mario kart wii. Too many racers at a time so you're constantly bombarded by attacks. I spent half of a race getting hit by green shells or having oil on my screen or some other bs. Obviously the weapons are a part of mario kart games, but so is racing. Plus it seemed like they widened the tracks to fit more racers on them.
I still say mario kart 64 is the best.
