PS1 exclusives

Post by wakeup »

Just wondering what are your favorite PS1 exclusives...maybe I can find some obscure fun games that I haven't heard :)

I haven't played much PS1 games to be honest and am exploring the PS1 library. But I've enjoyed Crash series, Chrono Cross, FF7 and vib ribbon.

Oh man the number of ps1 exclusives is absolutely staggering. Just name a ps1 game out of the blue and you stand a pretty high chance that it's an exclusive.

I don't like JRPGs so much, but I love Crash Bandicoot 1,2,3 (especially the first one) and Vib Ribbon, just like you :)
Other games that I love/loved back in the day:

Metal Gear Solid (the best game on the PS1 for me)
Gran Turismo 2 (played to death, but don't really see a point in playing it, since there is GT4 and soon there will be GT5
Tony Hawks Pro Skater series (even though they are not exclusive)
Medal of Honor/MoH Underground

The games I think will enjoy much or maybe even love, but have not played:

Castlevania:The Symphony of the night
PaRappa the Rapper
Einhander
Chrono Cross
Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee
I've got no signature.

I really don't think so...most of the games were not exclusive, and were on one or more systems, mainly PC, DC and N64.

My favorites are

Destrega - what all Dragonball games should play like
Team Buddies
Chrono Cross

Ones I havent tried yet but are in my to play pile:

There are more in the to play pile but that is all I can think of off the top of my head

Medievil I and II were exclusives and lots of good fun. The Syphon Filter I, II and III were exclusives and also lots of fun.

I like Omega boost, an unappreciated game, and Rayman.

While that's true, I tend to forget that when it comes games that are most associated with the PS1. It does slip my mind sometimes that FFVII and VIII were on PC also for instance. Though IX was exclusive so I can count that. :D From the rest of what I have it's getting quite thin - Alundra, Breath of Fire III and the Crash games. Had to check on MGS and that was on PC too...
