I had that exact feeling the other day. I was at a flea market and I saw a kid picked up a sealed copy of War in Middle Earth for a buck. He'll probably get it home, rip it open, stare at the 5.25 disks and then chuck it. I loved that game as a kid and to see it snatched away was just wrong.

I know I know....the horror. I see all these kids at the game shops buying stuff that they will never beat and never treat right. OMG i saw like a little 9 year old buy oddworld because it looked cool. I was just thinking of like geez, poor kid does not know what he is in for. Maybe I am wrong and he beats the game in like 20 minutes I have no idea. Which brings to mind a new topic.

You have to be very careful dealing with flea markets in the southeast USA. The Humidity is high enough to have condensed water inside cartridges (happened to me once). The manual for NCAA 2K2 I bought the other day had all the pages stuck together.

o and when it rains...omg the people without tents do not even care. They just let the rain hit the treasures. Shit i can not save them all. It is always sad to see any console or game die. well most of them.

For me I usually hit 5 Goodwills most saturdays after a morning of garage saleing (I wait til the afternoon and go to goodwill, to get the garage sale leftovers).

Usually cheap ($2-3) playable not collectible games at Goodwill. One of the better garage sales was a mint NES w/manuals and controllers, everything but the original box and 12 games for $20.

This last weekend I picked up an Nes, a zapper, two controllers, and 20 games for $13. I live in the south and I have not had any problems with humidity.
