And it's pretty darn accurate. They got the characters animation's down to a tee, and there's a few other surprises I'll let you see for yourself.

I liked the Back to the Future reference at the beginning.
However, the music sucked and I was expecting more variety.
But yes, the animations were spot on :)

Actually, I don't consider hip hop to actually be music...
But I'm just a 27-year-old, white male, so what do I know :)

most people who don't like rap or hip hop tell me that they don't think it's real music because they don't play their own instruments. but then i ask them what kind of music they're into and they say "mostly techno and electronica."

rhythm is an essential part of music regardless of how it is created.

also while i'm spouting off random bits here and there, i read an article once that compared ludacris' vocal styling to frank sinatra. obviously not the tone or pitch of voice, but more the way they both construct each line, ending a rhyme long after the measure is over, thus fakin' u out, sucka.

There are SOME hip-hop people that are talented, but I find most of the wannabe gangsta out there are worthless.
I don't think it has anything to do with instruments. Rap just doesn't sound like a "song" to me. Is "melody" the term I'm looking for? (My musician wife would slap me for my lack of music education).

I'm mostly a rock guy, but also enjoy jazz and some other more established genres.

I was in band. Omg i was a bando. I play quite a few instruments. While I definitely agree with you racketboy the RAP is bullshit and is long dead, HIP HOP still lives. The radio is rap. The rappers that actually do it for the music and actually have thoughts put into their lyrics is hip hop. I use to be into all that gangster rap. I grew up with it and i ended up writing songs and what not. But there are a few that i think anyone who gave them a chance would like them. I mean jet grind radio had a little hip hop feel to it.... Anyhow people have different tastes. The only music i can not stand is that country shit. Not the old country like hank williams and such. Hank Williams is the shit.

word. i wasn't calling you out specifically or anything. and i agree that most of it is garbage, but if you think about just how much music there is out there, i'd be willing to be that most of it is garbage anyway haha.

I do find it odd that Racketboy doesn't like hip hop when his favorite game(Jet Grind Radio)actually has hip hop elements.

Not calling you out or anything Racketboy, just an observation.

I don't listen to much hip hop or rap, but my thoughts on these kinds of music are pretty much the same as my thoughts on the kinds of music I DO listen to. Most of what's on radio or tv is mediocre. You have to search online or kind of go underground to find the good stuff.

You know it would be interesting to have a topic about everyone's musical interests.
