How come Metroid fans are so much more artistic on average than the fan bases of other franchises? Its like every 3 days I see some mega-win Samus picture.

Maybe it is the environment is more inspiring? (If that makes sense)
There's just something about the whole space and girl-in-a-sweet-mech-suit-blasting-creatures thing that give you some good ideas for artwork.

The metroid age group is probably little older too. I don't really know any Metroid prime only fans

Planet Zebes was a Metroid site run by Niklas Jansson, from Sweden or Denmark or some such. He had spectacular pencils of the game but seems they are gone, maybe someone knows where they can be found now online.

Although I'm not a Metroid fan these are just amazing.

Twice in two weeks!

Lesson learned though... I used my old Godaddy account has the image host. Fell down immediately and never came back up -- even though the rest of this site was fine.
