So I just bought a 360 fight pad and was planning on using it mostly for Castle Crashers, Lode Runner, Fighters, and PC games. But I figured I would ask yall if you use it on anything unique. I mean it has the hardware to be a left stick, right stick or dpad, and I did try it out first on AvP – then Battle Fantasia which was a small disappointment.
I am about to borrow a buddy's 360 for an indefinite amount of time (he is moving to Isreal for atleast a year) with Castle Crashers and half a dozen other games. So I am going to buy a couple games. I could care less about console FPS titles (no legacy = no go) and since I got the good dpad controller I figured I would ask. Battle Block Theater is the only one that I know I have to buy but it is not out yet. A couple things to keep in mind:
- I do not plan on playing online
- Multiplayer is a plus
- If it came out on the pc, ie Braid and Trine, or is a port of an older title, ie Ikaruga, odds are I will buy the PC version or the original version. The only exception to this is Alien Hominid since the PDA game is that good.
I have several friends with them for the PS3 so PS3 titles are welcome aswell.
Any suggestions?

I have the 360 one, and aside from fighting games, I use it with my emulators (at least those that it'll work with) and my new copy of Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection for the 360.

Pac Man CE, SOTN, Worms/Worms 2:Armageddon.
Don't own many other 2D games.

I was thinking about the Genesis collection, thanks Repo. Now I just gotta find a copy locally.
I was unaware SOTN was on XBLA, for some reason I thought it was only on the PSN. Thanks Niode. And dont feel they have to be 2d, anything you can play with a dpad is viable. Im gonna give Darksiders a go tomorrow night at a friends house.

I wanted to use my xbox fightstick for alien hominid and castle crashers, arcade style, but the button layout of my hori fightstick ex3 (or whatever it's called) wasn't good for these games and you can't reassign button functions in either of these behemoth games, so I found that it was just not practical, unfortunatly. Also, the stick on my Hori functions as the left dpad (i think), so I couldn't use it for prince of persia classic, which would only function with analog stick inputs.
Having said that, it was fine for bionic commando on PS3 and other platform type games.

Well you could play anything with it since it has a Left stick, Dpad, Right stick three way switch. Don't know why you'd want to though.
I'd be interested to know of any other games that benefit from using the fight pad.
