Its actually my roommate's PSP but he never plays it so I've adopted it. I got a 4gb pro duo stick and am now trying to figure out how to fully take advantage of it. Oh, and I have a Mac (its a power pc g4, not intel).
So, does anyone have any suggestions on what I should check out, whether its games, movies, comics, etc.? Is there any good software for Mac for linking up to a PSP? I'm not sure I really know how to transfer stuff onto it.
So I got a PSP and I have a Mac

bumping as this is relevant to my interests

Not sure if there's any mac software to manage your media. You can use the Finder to move media in and out of the psp, but that's a slight pain in the butt because all your folders and files need to be properly named to be recognized by the psp. Still this method works decently if you know what you're doing.

Great app here. Used it when I owned a PSP (all mine have broken sadly, and the iPhone is taking up my time)

If you need a good mp4 converter for your psp use pspware. It's free and works on mac.

You'll want popstation to convert PSX isos to psp EBOOTS. A little googling will find the BASE.PBP and KEYS.BIN you need. There's a CISO for OS X too, that will compress PSP isos if you want. Google it.

There's loads of software for Mac for use with PSP, you just need to google it. PSP is one of the few systems where the tools are mostly cross-platform. Rather than those god awful apps written in something bullshit like basic or some shit like that.

No need most of the useful applications can run natively on OS X.vlame wrote:virtual box?
Regarding converting videos, Handbrake has a PSP preset (you have to get it from handbrake website) but it works perfectly, plus it's multithread compatible (if your G4 is the multithread version) which will convert much faster. Plus it's got more features for pan and scan, subtitles, audio codecs etc. Of course you still need to make the correct folder on your memory stick which is:
Code: Select all
MS:\MP_ROOT\100MNV01\
Where MS is the root of your memory stickMarurun wrote:Don’t mind-shart your pants, guys
