Yes, I realize that, but it just seems stupid to already be scorning something that we've only seen maybe 3 seconds of gameplay for.

And I'm fucking jaded. Really jaded.

Yeah, I fully Understand the game is not released yet and they have very little footage of the game, but if Sega decides to go with Modern Sonic with this we can certainly see what direction they are headed with this IP.

I feel the other playable secret character in the unlocked character section on the Sonic 4 website is the CLASSIC SONIC. If we look back at when Sega anounced the character roster in the game they listed Sonic and Sonic's new friend Mr Needlemouse.

Between the two listed, and the other character that is locked at the moment in the website--- I can see Sega supporting both Sonics in the game. "I may be wrong though".

I feel we should have the original and there should not be a choice to choose, however..... if Sega makes the original sonic available to choose that is certainly fine with me! If thats the case they need to have a better story refering to Dr. Robotnik as well.

So let me get this straight, it's download only?

Is it going to be on the Wii, because if Sega makes it only HD, the Wii can't do that?

I personally prefer the Sonic Rush game over the 16 bit Sonics. I just like how it breaks from the action and does something cool, like make you kill 5 enemies before moving on, hanggliding, and the 3D bosses are awesome, too.

It's going to be on the Wii, but that merely means that the Wii verison will run in 480p while the PS3/360 versions will run in 720p or higher. Remember that with 3D models you can scale infinitely; Quake 2 is perfectly happy running at 1600x1200 even though it was programmed with 640x480 in mind. The graphics are incredibly smooth but are still limited by the low poly count and small textures, which is independent of the resolution the game runs at. The resolution you run at really only matters if you're using 2D sprites, as scaling those can cause the quality to suffer depending on the algorithm you use.

That's what I figured but I didn't know if Sega wanted it to ONLY be in HD for some weird, stupid, Sega-Like reason

I really can't judge it based on what little has been shown (obviously). While I'm not a big fan of the overall visual style I really don't see why a big deal needs to be made out of it. So even as a fan of the series I can't help but not feel too excited. I guess it will be interesting to see just what will come out of it in the end.

My guess is that, after they've done however many episodes they plan to do, they'll release a disc version with all of them together.

I've gotta say that I'm gonna give this one a good chance. When Sega released the Sonic Unleashed demo on PSN, I said this to my friends,"If I don't like Sonic Unleashed, I'm giving up on Sonic, forever."

The daytime stage was so amazing I said Sonic was back, so I'm glad they're sorta getting their heads straight with this.
