On April 15th, 2010, all original Xbox units as well as games will no longer be able to use LIVE.
Of course, Microsoft says the best is yet to come, but I don't know about that. Anyway, for anyone out there that wants to play Capcom vs SNK 2 online, you've got until April 15th until it is no longer possible.
I find it ironic that this happens right as I'm about to get an Xbox 360. I was really looking forward to playing Street Fighter Anniversary Collection online.
No more online for Xbox. No more online for Xbox games.
Re: No more online for Xbox. No more online for Xbox games.
So is it just online play or DLC as well?

Damn, that's pretty good support, right there. About 8 years. That's especially good considering that it's Microsoft.
I hope some 1337|-|4X0RZ find a way for the old online games to be played again.
Also, this means that there's no real reason not to burn Xbox 180 games.

I can't imagine much, Halo 2 was about all that people played on live before the 360 even came out. Maybe more people will start using kai because of this.DaGamingMonkey wrote:What games are still played on xbox besides halo

Yeah, I have a bunch of friends who still use Xbox Live to play Street Fighter Anniversary Collection, Capcom vs SNK 2 and a few others. Had a friend in college who used to play King of Fighters Neowave with it as well. Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge was also a pretty good game, from what I hear.
Really do how someone figures out a way to by-pass LIVE and play these. They were Peer-To-Peer anyway, weren't they?

Wow, I'm fairly surprised Microsoft kept the XBOX 1 servers on for so long after moving on to the 360. I assumed they quietly killed it.

http://www.teamxlink.co.uk/, takes a modded box, but there's not much reason to not mod at this point.the7k wrote:Really do how someone figures out a way to by-pass LIVE and play these. They were Peer-To-Peer anyway, weren't they?
