At work but on Racketboy?

Post by 8bit »

Who here is at work but still on Racketboy? I was really trying to stay off the site while I was at work, but I can't resist!

I'm only on Racketboy while at work. At home I'm usually too busy with other things.

I just opt to use my free time at home for playing games instead of discussing them. :D

I'm a graphic designer, so I'm at a desk all day and can browse the forum while doing tasks.

Cool dude. I have a desk job myself, so you guys might have to get use to seeing me around a lot.

Before someone asks.. I am an account specialist for a dedicated server hosting company. I primarily am doing live chats, forums, and accounting work for clients around the world.

I am on it most of the day, so yes. But when I get home, Ive got way too many projects/events that keep me away from it. That and after staring at a monitor for 8-9 hours a day, I like to give my eyes some sort of rest. Ive actually stopped watching most tv and playing games at night for the same reason. Granted some nights I gotta repair pcs so, sometimes it is alot harder to get away from.

For work I am an assistant sales manager for a cable provider's commercial side. I also handle the big issues that come up. Neither facet of the job is constantly demanding so in my downtime I am here and on googlechat. On the side I do whatever needs to get done to get by. Ive done almost everything: from bartending to shoveling shit. If the job needs to be done and there is money to be made, you can usually find me and a crew working on it.

I have a two year old midget running around occupying my time at home, so any free time I might get at night would be playing games.

My bosses don't care about me being online as long as I get my work done, and it's done right the first time. I'm a field service engineer, who also does shipping, receiving, inventory control, in-house service, and some small electronic design work.

What if I'm currently writing an article for this website while perusing its forums? Am I technically at work but on Racketboy, or am I still at work?
