Don't like the battle system?

That's the whole reason I love Nocturne - for the battles. There's no other RPG series I can think of that makes battles nearly as fun as SMT.

No I like the battle system fine...it kind of bugs me that there's not much respite from getting into battles. The only "town" I've come across where you dont get into battles is the underpass. The story seems like it could be really cool, but I've played for about 11 hours, and there's been maybe 15 minutes of story dialogue so far. I like it enough though, so I will stick with it,hopefully it picks up.

I mean, it's good game in its own right, but I just don't understand the hype surrounding it.

Playing phantasy star 2 right now. The game is really rustic and doesn't include many common rpg features that were present by the end of the 16 bit era. I just started and there's already a whole lot of grinding going on right now. The game has a lot more story than most RPGs from the era though and is interesting enough to have kept me hooked so far.

Started playing Grandia 2 for the second time, and it's the PS2 version this go around. Yeah, not as polished as the DC version but I can look past the flaws. I absolutely love the battle system.

While still playing Mass Effect (Xbox360) and Infinite Undiscovery (Xbox360) I have also started playing Final Fantasy XII (PS2) and man its inverted control is really pissing me off.

Hopefully I can finish IU in the next week so I am not juggling too many games at once.

You should be able to run through IU pretty quickly. I believe I finished around the 18 hour mark.

Yea I dont expect it to take me that long, I was at Disc 2 at around the 7 hour mark, I think its better than most people give it credit for, but the story is really slow and takes awhile to get into. The fact it is going to be as short as I imagine is a let down, but worth having in my collection none the less.

I've just started playing Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story for the first time. One thing I already love is how they aren't constantly forcing you to switch between the button using position and the stylus position.
