..can anyone recommenced any shops (preferably ones located in the UK, if possible) that sell the GP2X system? Play-Asia seems to be the cheapest shop I can find for it (at £98 after postage), the official site ends up at about £125, and all the 2nd-hand ones on Ebay seem to go for about £80, but is there anywhere else to buy them, other than that? Thanks a bunch.

the only thing about buying off play-asia if your in th uk is the import tax. i bought a gp2x and accessories off play-asia last year thinking i was saving about £30-40 but after the import tax only saved £5-10

This is not in the UK but I always make my purchase there and they got decent shipping cost even international. They are located in Canada.

Import tax? I just went through the checkout process to see what the total would be for GP2X and a TV Out cable and it came to about £12 postage, and it mentioned nothing about Import Tax.

If what your buying is over £30 it gets stopped when it arrives in the uk the post office then holds your item hostage for money (import tax plus some money to cover storing your package at the post office)

Its only happened to me once i had to pay about £9 on somthing that cost £50

The total I've been looking at including postage is £110, so I'm guessing that tax would be about £20? That's a bit off-putting, but if it's random I suppose that's a risk you take.

According to the www.gp2x.com web site, the official UK distributer is www.gbax.com so try checking that site out.

I bought mine from gbax.com . When I bought mine, the US distributors didn't have their's yet so I went with the UK ones.

It came pretty damn fast, for coming from Europe that is. I've sent and received tons of packages there, so my judgment isn't that ambiguous.

EDIT: Never mind, a few more Ebay ones popped up that I'm gonna watch. I'm determined to get one under £100 if I can! Ignore everything below (for now, unless i get desperate!)

Well, I definably can't get one on Ebay for much less than £100, so I'm just gonna go with Play-Asia. I'm not sure if this is frowned upon here or not, but does anyone have a valid Play-Asia coupon they're not using? I did have one but I ended up throwing it away after it went out of date. I'll promise to return the favor by sending the code of the coupon that arrives with the GP2X, seeing as i definatly won't be spending anything else for a while after this! If this kind of thing isn't allowed here, sorry! ^^;
