Technically the PS2 is a PS1, when you boot a PS1 title the PS2 functions turn off. It's close to 100% compatibility with PS1 titles. This is also the reason why you can't boot PS1 copies with a softmodded PS2.
What kind of cable comes out of the pedal? Is it just a normal PS1 controller cable? If so, plug your guncon into the PS2s port 1, the yellow cable into the yellow composite cable in your TV, and the pedal into port 2. If that doesn't work then It's probably busted. I know for a fact that Gcon1s work on the PS2 because I've used them myself, on point blank/time crisis and on Time Crisis 2, and I've even played vampire night and ninja assault with a Gcon1 and a Gcon2 and had no problems at all.

The cable is a regular PS1 cable. I actually initially did my setup like you said, as it makes the most sense. But, based on the instructions, this thing doesn't work that way. Its weird. This thing does not need an AV cable, because what it SHOULD do is basically be a giant X or R1 button for hiding/reloading. I mean, I usually use an old school non-analog PS1 controller on the floor for a more accurate hide/reload.Niode wrote:What kind of cable comes out of the pedal? I am at work right now, so when I get home tonight, I will upload pics so you can see the setup. I have a sinking feeling this thing isn't working though. I will try it out on an a PS1 soon and see if that does anything, though Niode, you are right about the PS1/Ps2 compatibility.

I had a chance to get a PS1 Arcade Stick twice for like 15 bucks but passed it up. Though my other option was NiGHTS into Dreams with the 3D controller for 25 bucks. The game was sealed and the controller in mint condition. The Box...not so much.lisalover1 wrote: Use an arcade stick; it works much better.

LOL. I just throw a Dual Shock 2 on the floor and stomp on all of the face buttons with one of my feet. Works great! ...at least it works great for Time Crisis 3.lisalover1 wrote:Betamax001 wrote:Use an arcade stick; it works much better.
