Tom Hanks was great in this. Why did he ever stop acting in full-on comedies!

Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
Re-watched Haute Tension - still a good movie, the twist really had me when I first watched it.
Carriers - I liked this movie. I thought it would be the typical young, annoyingly snotty actors fighting zombies (which I don't mind) but it was a pretty unique and pretty intense film that pleasantly surprised me.
The Burrowers - western style creature feature. I liked it. Anyone who realizes it is supposed to be a comedy as well as a monster movie seems to like it too. Definitely b-grade horror, which I think it was going for.
Diagnosis: Death - Feels like a low budget, made-for-TV movie, but still pretty good. If you like horror movies (it's not really that scary) taking place in a hospital setting, you may like this. Rather than being a straight out horror film, though, it is more like a paranormal mystery movie.
Dead End - Definitely a funny movie, especially when the bf dies and the mom goes nuts and wants to draw a picture and draws a bunch of scattered body parts and gives it to the gf. Kind of follows a similar storyline as other movies like Reeker. What happens during the passing from life into death type of thing. I always find these clever and it is a different take so it works fine for me.
All in all, Carriers was the highlight of all these films (I am not counting Haute Tension because I saw it before).

Conflicted about the movie.. BD is no joking matter, but Matt Damon performed quite superbly as Mark Whitacre. 8/10

I rather liked this movie. The parts where he rambles I found made the movie stronger. It made Mark Whitacre seem like he was trying to get the audience to like him, but failing. It made him more human. Though I was never rooting for him and by the end was angry at him for messing up so much, the character really meshed well.Pulsar_t wrote:
