Thousand Arms

Post by bladerunner »

I recently picked up a mint copy of Thousand Arms for $20. I still had the holographic card and stickers in it! Anyway, I have never really played this game, though I like what I see so far. I am just curious about any impressions others had of the game? One complaint I have this far in is that I don't see much difference in how the story works out based on the convo choices. Basically the options are always: A - be a total perv or B - be the upright and nobel hero. I mean, I understand this game is very tongue and cheek, so I never expected this to be a straight good vs. evil type story. Anyways, any impressions on this game?

You won't notice the changes that your answers bring right away. The game is a RPG and a dating sim so your choices don't affect the main store but your love life.

True. I am coming at this game like a regular RPG (plus I am playing Mass Effect 2 right now where every convo effects the story). When I bought this, I didn't realize this was a dating sim, but I still like it. Plus the design of the game is great. Definitely one of the better looking PS1 RPGs.

i like it and i consider it more RPG but pep is right that it has dating sim elements and your answers determine your love in the game.

The smart thing is to be nice to everyone when dating. Your affection for them helps you make better weapons.

Had a lot of fun with this game. The combat was repetitive but the dating part was fun.
