Hi all,
I only have 1 controller and VMU, so I'm thinking of buying another controller and some extra memory storage. In a recent thread, Mozgus suggested the Nexus 4M memory card+linker cable.
Does anyone know for sure if the cable will work with smaller cards (if I have the cable, I wouldn't need 4x the VMU's original storage; considering I already have an actual VMU even less so)? It seems so, but I'd like to confirm.
Does anyone have any advice on where to get it? Or alternatives to it?
There is a UK shop that apparently sells them, but seems quite expensive at 27 pounds for the 4M+cable or 17 pounds for the 2M+cable (thats 54 and 34 USD respectively - i.e., not worth it IMO).
There is a shop that sells them with cable for 27 USD, but I expect the shipping to not be very cheap after that - and even that seems slighty on the expensive side (but then again, its the 4M version, they don't have smaller ones).
Regards,
Ivo.

Exactly my point...Pullmyfinger wrote:You could buy a ton of those mem cards for a fraction of that
I think I can grab a 4M true memory one (not compressed) for some 5 pounds here in the UK.
Truly, the cable means virtually limitless, but how much memory do I actually need for games? Hard to say, but lets put it this way: how much memory do you have stocked up in your own DC saves? I would be suprised if it was even 8M, and you guys probably play more DC than I will for a while.
EDIT: maybe Racketboy should think about stocking some DC memory options - I wonder if it would sell well?
