The new racketboy logo... you like?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Do you like the new logo?

I only put yes because of the Saturn controller. :P
Really, it looks kinda plain.

Hmm, a little plain, but thats ok. The only thing that doesn't seem proper is that you used a console specific item in the picture, a saturn controller. And we certainly aren't exclusive to that platform. If you have to have a controller showing, maybe you should ask someone to sketch up a fictional controller that has obvious retro-gaming simplicity to it.

Yeah, I was also kinda conflicted about that.
My reasoning was that the Saturn controller was about the best controller for retro gameplay, the Saturn is quite popular here, and usually fictional controller have a bit of a cheese-factor to them...

The new one looks very nice, but should use some more work (I've seen your other stuff man, you've got some more tweaks up your sleeve... remembers the "Nights" wallpaper you did).

Definitely don't go with the Jap white controller. The white and colourful buttons would really clash with the already set colour scheme of the whole website. I love that joypad, but would really clash in my personal opinion.

and for some reason Firefox tells me that colour is spelled wrong... damn them. color... is that what you want FF? COLOR!? Screw you, it's colour. Look it up in the dictionary, it's a word. stupid firefox... I love you.

I could always make the white controller greyscale so the colors wouldn't show up (I used greyscale for the black one anyway)
______
EDIT:

Oh yeah, and I like the emphasized BOY in solid white in the original. If you went with that, the white Jap controller might actually look really nice. As my stupid art friend says, "It would frame the word racket"... whatever frame means.

Hmm, perhaps if you had some sprite-based artwork of controllers or systems, and rotated them out (like a random image loading script) on each page refresh?

Actually, if you look at the screenshot on the post I just linked to, you'll notice an LCD with JRG playing on it.
I was thinking about having random screenshots on there from various systems (but putting more JGR in the rotation than others ;) )
