Airports here in the use Use those. Granted the hectic nature of airports isn't the best environment to gauge behavior but most people don't bother returning those for the 25 cents. There are people that spend all day hanging out at the airport returning carts that people leave behind. I'm sure it would help a lot at stores. I do remember the lots in England being a lot clearer when I was there a long time ago.ZeroAX wrote:yeah I was going to ask, why don't you have this system? It's simple and easy. Aside from the moral issue of confronting someone in the way you did, you never know when you might run into a wacko who will just snap and pull a gun on you.

Shoot, in high school getting those carts back was my job. I've always put carts back in those corrals since then, just because it makes their lives easier. Plus, come on, it's fun to ride them through the parking lot, and taking the cart to the corral gives me more play time.

I approve of your actions entirely. Please continue to be a crusader for responsible actions and weight. Though you may want to work on increasing your anger reduced vocabulary.

Wow. Get ready for some multiple posts.
But this lady (I use the word lady loosely) was a teeter-tottering amalgam of characteristics I despise. She was the caricature of why so many foreigners see Americans as fat, lazy, self-centered, rude, and uneducated people.
Sometimes my wife will put her feet on the bottom of the cart, push off on one foot, and coast to the car with her hair in the wind. It's really cute.Ack wrote: Plus, come on, it's fun to ride them through the parking lot...
That has happened twice, both times in a Wal-Mart parking lot. One guy kept yelling at me "I pop my trunk homie. I pop my trunk!". I had no idea what he was talking about and just provoked him. The guy was mad at me because I honked my horn at him because he ran a stop sign and almost hit my car on the passenger side, where my dog was sitting. That is a whole different story.gtmtnbiker wrote:Aside from the moral issue of confronting someone in the way you did, you never know when you might run into a wacko who will just snap and pull a gun on you.
Oh, I totally overdid it.Hobie-wan wrote:Yeah, you went overboard this time, but the sentiment was good and you realize you overdid it. If you normally handle it better, then I approve.

Don't waste your time hating those people, I guarantee you they hate themselves enough already.

Honestly though, there are a lot of Americans that fit that bill. I mean, as an American, I see them on a daily basis.
