Megaman Legends

Post by ZeroAX »

Ah I love this series. I first played Megaman Legends 2 on a friends PSone and loved it. I played the first one as Megaman 64 on an emulator a few years later but the voices in the cut scenes got messed up. Later on I played the PC version. The voices worked but the sound effects were MIA for some reason.

so after 8 years I thought I'd try to play BOTH games in working order. I look around the internet. I see that my PS3 isn't region free when it comes to PSone games. And I checked ebay and all the Megaman Legends games are from the US and when a European copy does come up it's way expensive. So I try out emulation. Guess what. The freaking voices don't work grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Anyway I'll wait and keep on searching ebay until I find a reasonable price on these gems. Until then anyone else wants to share their feelings about this magnificent games?

Or talk about how unfair the world is. Capcom decides to make an excellent Megaman game. A game that breaks the megaman formula. A game that was part megaman part zelda. a game that has a great memorable and loveable cast (Tron Bone FTW :P). and this excellent game gets a sequel. (which I haven't finished but from what I've read online it's even better than number 1).

and yet these excellent games don't sell. Yet the terrible megaman battle network sells enough for 6 freaking sequels..... on the GBA alone. ffs megaman fans you disgust me.

and now i'm sad. because Capcom (because of their refusal to bring the megaman legends collection on the psp to the west, and their refusal to put megaman legends on the psn) and Sony (for the dumb move of region restriction with psone games ) won't let me play these gems.

Indeed, it is a great game, and further proof that innovation doesn't sell.

I LOVED THIS SERIES! The style and character appealed to me a lot as a kid. I don't know anyone who appreciated it as much as I did. Is Megaman 64 just a renaming of megaman legends? I didn't know what legends was, but told me he played that and said it was awful. The first one was so damn cool. I actually enjoyed searching every nick and cranny in the dungeons to find all the parts to create new weapons. I'm still waiting to be able to afford to purchase a copy. I didn't like the second one nearly as much because it felt obviously linear. There were no side missions or extra things to do aside from the main story and I felt pushed along. It was a long time since I've played them, but that feeling sticks in my head. I liked the character of that series so much I bought, played, and enjoyed the spin off title the Misadventures of Tron Bonne. That series makes me so fucking happy.

too true. i got megaman legends dirt cheap with a lot of other games in various states at a garage sale. looks like they kept them outside in the shed as they were covered in mouse shit. but after cleanin them up they worked great.

but yea..probably in my top 10 of PSX games ive played. should really play the others in the series
