Favorite Loading Screens
This sounds like a stupid thing to make a topic about, but what are your favorite video game loading screens? I liked the loading screens in Wave Race: Blue Storm. It's interactive, and looks awesome. Also, the loading screen for Sonic R [the reflective Sonic head] was pretty impressive for the system. Finally, am I the only one who thinks SNK should bring back the juggling monkey from Neo-Geo CD loading screens?

Soldier of Fortune on Dreamcast.
When the loading screen comes up, I know I have enough time to make, and eat a stack of pancakes, and possibly watch an episode or two of Seinfeld.

Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard. I was hoping to find some quotes online, but they basically joke about how amazing loading screens are and how they enhance the experience of the game.
Re: Favorite Loading Screens
I agree about the Sonic R loading screen. Damned impressive. The different Neo Geo CD screens were sometimes interesting (it's not always a monkey!).
I kind of like the Symphony of the Night loading screen, mostly because you can play around morphing the letters with the d-pad.

I like the internet brawl loading screen where you get to beat up the sandbag as your player. I know that isnt a generic loading screen cause your just waiting for the other person but its still entertaining.

Re: Favorite Loading Screens
Bayonetta's loading screens lets you practice every combo in the game and it keeps track of how many times you have done them. Okami's had a sort of timing mini game that could net you extra claws/teeth ( i forgot what they are) for the game. Devil May Cry 3 allowed you to beat the crap out of the "loading" font whenever it showed up which has made me indescribably happy. Can't remember my favourite ones that weren't interactive in some way. I was shown a site a while ago that simply cycles through different loading screens. The idea was that as things load faster, and we get better at eliminating load times, we no longer need them, and the art that goes into them will be lost so take a moment to appreciate some of them now.
