I am new to collecting old video games and was wondering if anyone knew good places to get games. These are the only places I can think to find old video games: Ebay, Amazon, Yard Sales, Pawn shops, Thrift stores, Goodwill, Game stores. Those are the only places I can think off.
The problem with Ebay is the shipping is really high and almost every think on Amazon is around 30-50% higher than normal. There is only one game store near me but is a 30 to 40 minute drive. If anyone can think of better places to look please tell.

The buy/sell/trade forum here has some sweet deals every now and then. All of the Racketboy members I've dealt with so far were honest and reasonable.

Hey, what about Yahoo Auction Japan? Is it possible for Americans to use it? I should probably figure it out since Ebay doesn't have everything.

Unfortunately, unless you have a lot of cash to through around, building up a retro collection takes a long time, most collections you see are years of going to flea markets, weekly visits to pawn shops, stalking eBay for bargains, etc.
