weird GBA SP problem?

Post by noiseredux »

so recently the power switch on my GBA SP has gotten very tight. It's really hard to turn it on or off. I have to really push with my thumb nail or something to get it to move. Which makes me nervous that over time I'm gonna break it. Has anyone experienced this before? Is it something fixable?

Open it up and take a look, that's what I would do.

I would, I'm just not sure what I'm looking for. Was hoping someone could shed some light before I take it apart, y'know?

Its most likely just a build up of dirt. You would be amazed how much dirt can get into a sealed handheld/controller.

Indeed, or some moisture could have gotten in and there could be some corrosion built up in the switch.
