Yeah, what I did was put it in a cd case and put the manual in the front and kept the sleeve in the box. Take the error and do like he said, call nintendo see what they say

It's a decently fun game. I like playing it. If you dont have to pay for it you might as well get a new copy.

It wouldn't be the first time a disc was incorrectly printed. I'd contact whomever you bought it from and request a new copy of the game.
NES | SNES | Genesis | PSOne | Saturn | N64 | Dreamcast | Gamecube | XBox | PS2 Phat w/HDLoader | PS3 Slim| Wii
GBA SP | PSP-1000 | WiFi-iPad 16GB(Is this a game system?) | Modded PS1 | PS Vita 3G

Do you have your Wii standing vertically? If that's the case, maybe you are putting the game disc in upside down. It's hard to tell which way is up, at least it was for me at first.

Most likely it is the disc as others have said. If I were you I'd get another copy of the game which is very easy to come by.

This game is fun to pop in every now and again...I usually play bowling when I do play it. The only problem I have with this game is everyone of my friends who doesn't own a Wii thinks it is awesome and can play it for HOURS when the come over.

My friend's girlfriend is in love with the game and thinks she's hot shit because she has a higher score than me. You should have seen the fit she through when I formatted my system memory awhile back, which deleted her Mii/highscores from my system memory. Man was she pissed and blamed her bad bowling on the fact that she lost the Pro ball. I've hid the disc and lied about breaking it just so I don't have to listen to her constant nagging about wanting to play it when they come over.

I try to talk them in to trying newer (and imo better) games but most of them just want to play bowling -,-.

I had the same problem. I got the error with Super Mario Galaxy within a month of purchasing it an the Wii. Sometimes games would load and sometimes they would give me the error, but after a while I started to see black "snow" or "static" all over the screen when playing a game. What had happened was the graphics card burns out because of excess heat. This was a problem with some Wiis if you left it on all the time (on meaning powered up and always connected to the internet.)

If you aren't getting the snow now, I think you will... because I have read that the "disc error" is also related to excess heat so you need to return and exchange your Wii if you can if not call Nintendo and they will repair it for free since you said it was new, but repairing took about 5 weeks for me.
Also, anyone who has a Wii should turn off the "always connected to the internet" option because if any part of your Wii dies because it overheated after the warranty is over is screwed.

This is weird because my Twilight Princess does this to me. I got it last christmas, best it twice and let a friend borrow it. That same night he calls me and tells me that he's getting the "error" message and he tells me that he did nothing but got home and put it in. I checked the disc and found no scratches or anything basically the same shape I gave it to him in and when I started from Ganondorf nothing happened but when I start a new game and 5 minutes in, it gives me that horrid message, and this is on MY wii. What the fuck is going on?
