Will Killzone 2 live up to expectations?

Im with gaga man right now theres nothing good out for any console. I own the wii and the 360 and I just finished super paper mario great game but no replay value. In xbox360 theres only fps with monsters zombies or vampires but no platformers or good rpgs. All of them comes in christmas or 2008. Only blue dragon that release in august. But nothing more. And killzone I think its gona be like a rainbow six kinda style. It looks good thou.

I've had a look at some of those comparison videos that shows the FMV and real time graphics. Its defo not near the quality of that FMV but it still looks good. That doesn't stop pretty much the majority of people saying its lived up to expectations!

I would say it looks good (really like the draw distance). As someone here has pointed out it does look a little dull/bland though.

Who knows how well it will play though...

I read something about a large emphasis being placed on weather (both on its effects and the ability to manipulate it with various weapons). It'll be interesting to see how they manage to pull that off.

Any euro PS3 owners try out Killzone on their systems yet to see if the framerate benefits from the software emulation? I'm getting a bit antsy waiting for the 80gbs to roll out in the US so that we can finally get some of that software-based lovin'.

That whole FMV thing was a load of poo from the get-go. Everyone except Sony's PR people said that it was simply a target render (including the people that rendered it). Sony did wonders for shooting themselves in the foot on that, but that's really just par for the course this generation. When they haven't been lying, they've simply been condescending and insulting...it's like they saw what Sega of America did from 95-97 and decided, "hey, let's do THAT!". At least the guys working on the firmware updates are down to earth, honest, and candid. Totally different from the image that the rest of the company seems to try to project with the PS3.
