Good hard games

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

For those who are into Rhythm games, DJ Max Portable on the PSP will destroy you. It starts off nice and easy with slow songs that only use 4 buttons on the controller, but eventually you can get up to 8 buttons and insanity.

i'm having a hard time beating final fight on sega cd. especially since you only get a few continues (though on my last play i died at the final boss at least). strider on genesis was pretty hard too, the jumps take a lot of getting used to and i had to set the difficulty to easy to beat it

I will say it again, Cubivore on the gamecube. It is easily the hardest game of the last generation.

good hard games

Dear Ivo,

Here are my suggestions.

Ninja Gaiden Black on the Xbox was amazing game. I found it quite difficult but that made even more rewarding to complete. I only recall feeling that one boss was really cheap, the rest of the time I had made mistakes and felt myself driven to correct them. If you haven't had enough abuse completing the Black version of the game unlocks fifty short challenge missions. I beat about ten of them and just put the controller down. The original NES Ninja Gaiden might give you a run for your money too.

I've recently been enjoying Red Star for PS2. My bullet dodging skills need refining as I've gotten stuck trying to infiltrate Troika's ship. I'm sure shooting for an S rank every level would be a challenge.

I noticed you mentioned Ghouls and Ghosts. I don't know how many continues I burned up beating that on the Genesis but it was a lot. The spiritual sucessors, Maximo: Ghosts to Glory, and Maximo: the Army of Zin were both pretty hard. Zin was the better of the two. It had a more refined save system and was generally better planned out. Ghosts to Glory was made difficult mainly by the restrictive saving structure . But hey, if you want abuse, it's there. Also you should be able to pick up either of them cheaply; 10 bucks is the absolute max.

I've always enjoyed but had trouble with Super Thunder Blade on the Genesis. The same goes for Battletech. Revenge of Shinobi too.

Panzer Dragoon for the Saturn is hard for me. I can't speak for anyone else.

I will tell you if I come up with anything else.

I thought that Nude Barbie on my Nester NES Emulator for dreamcast was pretty hard.

Gears of War on insane alone without the block glitch at the end? That's all I can really think of. :?

I'm more like abras, tbh, I stay away from these kinds of games. Gears of War is the last game I've played all the way (not achievement wise tho, no Live) and actually enjoyed it on the hardest difficulty. Ninja Gaiden seems like be a game I should get for original xbox tho...
