A lot of really good movies were released on Criterion Laserdic because getting the rights were way easier, because dvds are so popular though, no one would want to give up the rights to something like the Graduate anymore

It hasn't been released on dvd at all though. Any release of it would be awesome. I don't really care much for Criterion anyways, so even a standard dvd would be awesome. I think RKO is probably just sitting on it in hopes that they find the original ending somewhere.

Recently scored the Criterion copy of "Armageddon", which was only $2. But the case was kinda beat up. Haven't tested the discs yet.

Also, I think they should get the rights to release a CC version of "Phantom of the Paradise", preferably with the same print as the French release, and all of the extras from the French DVD and tons more.

FYI, this was the first film of then-stage actress Jessica Harper, who would later go on to do Suspiria and Shock Treatment, as well as various children's music albums and children's books. She's also married to Tom Rothman, who is not only the Co-Chairman of 20th Century Fox, he's also a major fan of Phantom of the Paradise.

Nice.

The Criterion Collection is awesome. I've seen a ton of their films, mostly through my former local library. My personal collection includes:
Bottle Rocket
Brazil (3 disc)
Ikiru
The Life Aquatic (2 disc)
The Royal Tenenbaums
Rushmore
Seven Samurai (second release)
The Seventh Seal (first release)

If any of you are film buffs, you may want to check out the DVD Verdict forums. I used to spend a lot of time there, though I haven't been keeping up lately.
My games for sale: Racketboy, Amazon, eBay
My systems: NES, Nintendo 64, GameCube (Game Boy Player), Wii / Game & Watch: Ball, Game Boy Advance, Game Boy Advance SP (x2), Nintendo DSi / Genesis (Sega CD, 32X), Saturn / Game Gear / PlayStation, PlayStation 2 / Xbox / Mac (Windows PC) / iPhone, iPad

Thanks for sharing your list! I am a huge film buff and am always looking for new places to read about movies, that site seems pretty cool, recent Criterion finds were Videodrome and Kinfe in the Water, two I had been looking for!
